The Center of Southwest Studies offers multiple ways to explore our museum and archival collections, including gallery tours and collections visits designed for classes and community groups.
Gallery Tours
We welcome groups of all kinds to experience the Center’s dynamic exhibitions, which feature items from our museum and archival collections, as well as the work of guest artists. Past visits have included K–12 students, college classes, community groups, professional organizations, and lifelong learners, with group sizes ranging from small discussion-based visits to larger tours.
Center staff are happy to facilitate your visit, which might include an exploration of the exhibition(s), guided discussion, object-based learning, and/or a conversation focused on Southwest history, culture, and the arts. Groups are also welcome to explore the galleries independently during regular visiting hours.
For more information, see the Gallery Tours FAQ.

Collections Visits
Collections visits provide classes and community groups with an opportunity to engage with objects from our museum and archival collections. Sessions typically begin with a brief introduction from Center staff and are tailored to course themes or group interests.
