Woven to Wear featured key textiles from The Durango Collection®. Representing more than 800 years of weaving in the Southwest, The Durango Collection® forms the cornerstone of the Center of Southwest Studies’ collections, chronicling the remarkable achievements of Pueblo, Navajo, and Hispanic weavers. The exhibition highlighted Navajo and Pueblo wearing blankets and clothing, paying homage to the creativity and skill of these weavers. Navajo textile design reflects the Diné concept of harmony, while Pueblo textile design expresses cultural identity.
