Title:

Dry-laid stone wall
Date/circa:  1939/1949
Photographer: Ellison, Eddie Boyden (Santa Fe, N.M.)
Subjects: Archaeological sites--Photographs;
Notes: Image of a dry-laid stone wall. The wall seems to have a slight curve to it and the structure may have been a kiva or a tower. The individual stones have been shaped by tools and there appears to be small chinking stones in between the larger shaped stones. In some spots, there possibly may be mortar in the seams between the stones. Due to the numerous pits and holes in the stones, they may have originated from lava rock. Pinon and juniper trees are behind the wall and cover the hills and mesas in the background. This negative was in Drawer 1 labeled "Indians." This is negative 11 of 34 in original sleeve.
Negative#:  12361
