Helen Sloan Daniels was active in the Durango, Colorado, community, as a member of the Reading Club of Durango, and as an anthropologist / archaeologist who served in that capacity at the Durango Public Library and at the fledgling Center of Southwest Studies at Fort Lewis College.  Her papers are a collection at the Center of Southwest Studies, which also houses a number of her artifacts.
