A Campus Walking Tour:
John F. Reed Library

The John F. Reed plaque is on the exterior wall of the Library, just to the left as you are entering the northwest upper level front door.  The construction of this library/ classroom building was begun in the fall of 1965 and completed in the spring of 1967.  The building was dedicated on April 16, 1967 as part of commencement exercises. was renamed in honor of President John F. Reed, second president of the college (1962-1969), on October 4, 1986.  Scroll down or click here to view a two-page special issue of the Smoke Signals student newspaper when construction began in 1965 and the program from the renaming of the Library in 1986.
