| This plaque, between two benches to the west of the Clock Tower, summarizes the history of Fort Lewis College through the presidency (1949-1962) of Charles Dale Rea, whose profile is shown in relief on this bronze marker. It was dedicated on August 14, 1964, at its original location inset in a stone wall at the east end of the “island” south of Berndt Hall. |  To thumbnail |
