Title:

Landscape of rocks and trees with man-made walls
Date/circa:  1939/1949
Photographer: Ellison, Eddie Boyden (Santa Fe, N.M.)
Subjects: Archaeological sites--Photographs;
Notes: Image of a rock, pinon, and juniper covered landscape. The rocky ground seems to be made up of lava rock and indicates that the area was once covered by lava flows. Numerous small boulders can be seen in the background and many of them have been used to make walls. The walls have been crudely made and they don't appear to have been for habitation structures. This negative was in Drawer 1 labeled "Indians." This is negative 4 of 34 in original sleeve.
Negative#:  12354

This photo is part of the Ellison family collection, donated to the Center by Gary Ellison, son of Betty D. and Edward H. "Rocky" Ellison and grandson of Eddie Boyden Ellison.
