| Notes: | Cliff face with a relatively flat surface that has numerous petroglyphs etched into its surface. There are a number of hand prints, geometric shapes, and symbols depicted on the rock face. Shavano Valley Rock Art Site is listed on the State and National Register of Historic Places. The site contains numerous rock art panels that date from at least 1000 B.C. through approximately 1881. Two numbers written on sleeve 1587 and (more recently) 437. Also typed on sleeve is "Picture rock N of old one in Shavano" | |
