Title: Rio Grande Southern Railroad snow plowing at Lizard Head Pass (Colo.)
Date/circa:  1910/1919
Photographer:
Subjects: Rio Grande Southern Railroad (Colo.); ; Railroads--Snow-plows--Pictorial works; Lizard Head Pass (Colo.)
Notes: Mile Post 052.61. Shows eight locomotives. As to the year of this photo, Robert Herrone notes that "The rotary snowplow blew up Feb. 4, 1949. I suspect this was very early, in the 1910 or 1920s. There are 5 locomotives pushing the rotary and none have diamond-stacks any longer. The C-16 class locomotives were being retired in the 1910s." [Source of quote: Robert Herrone, email 3/27/07, with some text he drew from Steven Haworth's RGSRR website.]
