Ma Fanto was active in the Durango, Colorado, community, especially in the area south of 6th Street.  Ken Periman mentions her in the oral history interview Duane Smith conducted with him on January 4, 1977.  Durango's Fanto Park, at 4th Street and 6th Avenue (near Park Elementary School), was named after her.  This photo was from an original photoprint held by Mary Wiggins (daughter of Fanto).
