Joel Jones in conversation with horticulturalist George Kelly
at the Center of Southwest Studies when it was on the top floor of Reed Library,
summer 1988. Mr. Kelly, who was 93 in 1987, was a distinguished horticulturalist and amateur botanist. He wrote a dozen books about the plants and trees of the Rocky Mountain region, and raised more than 300 species of roses at his home in Cortez, Colorado.  Fort Lewis College awarded him an honorary degree in October of 1990
