Upstream view of embankment placing |

Griffith, B. T. |
Looking upstream across fill at sta. 15+20. The material shown being placed is clay coming from the downstream end of Borrow Pit No. 1. This material was left in the pit because of excess moisture content, but it has since dried out enough on the surface to permit taking a shallow cut with Le Tourneaus and using in No. 2 clay section of embankment. |
