Notes: This photograph was taken in Ignacio, Colorado, at the Bureau of Indian Affairs Indian Boarding School during a parent visit. Pictured from left to right are a cousin, Jane Werito (student) and Louise Begay Werito (mother of the student). Jane is approximately 7 to 8 years old. She entered the boarding school when she had just turned five years old, so this would be her second or third year there.

This photo was loaned to the Center by Venaya J. Yazzie and her grandmother Jane Werito Yazzie for digitization in February, 2007.
