Title:

Entrance to the Music Room (Carlsbad Caverns, N.M.)
Date/circa:  1932? - 1936?
Photographer: Lee, Willis T.
Subjects: Caves - New Mexico - Carlsbad Caverns; Carlsbad Caverns (N.M.)
Notes: A theatre curtain of dripstone at the entrance to the Music Room. Water-bearing carbonate of lime in solution has trickled from a crevice high in the wall, deposited its load of mineral matter in the form of a hanging curtain. Beyond this portiere is a group of stalactites, which gave forth musical tones when lightly touched.
