News release index scope and contents note:

This is the master index of the Fort Lewis College Public Relations Office's NEWS RELEASES and occasionally in a separate list, SPORTS RELEASES. They are listed chronologically.  As the Office produces news releases they are numbered in a sequence that begins with the number 1 for each new fiscal year starting on July 1.  The "Area" category indicates where the Office submitted the press release, and would be helpful in terms of guiding the researcher to the newspaper in which the press release appeared.  The original press releases are available in Collection M 001, the Fort Lewis College Archives, in Series 10.1.  They cover the period 1938-present, and currently fill 15 document cases.

You can do a keyword search of the press release subjects for each year by using the Edit - Find in Page (Ctrl+F) feature on your Web browser (or by downloading the files of the annual indexes and using the Search key (F2) in your word processing function).  Keyword searching will be especially helpful if you do not have a date to search (since this index is arranged chronologically).
