Equipment Use Policy
This policy pertains to the use of tape recorders and other related equipment belonging to the Center of Southwest Studies.
Equipment will be made available for faculty, staff, and approved students, and researchers at Fort Lewis College whose use of the equipment benefits their studies on the Greater Southwest and is central to the mission of the Center of Southwest Studies. It is hoped that products of that research, i.e. photographs, oral histories, etc. will be donated to the Center of Southwest Studies.
Center of Southwest Studies equipment is limited and priority use is given to Center of Southwest Studies staff for Center tasks. Equipment is available on a first come, first served basis and can be requested back at any time. Normal checkout will be one week for faculty and staff and three days for students during the academic year. Other special arrangements may be made through the Center’s Librarian.
Photo I.D. will be required to check out equipment. Any loss or damage to equipment will be charged to the individual who checked it out. Equipment will be checked out through the Southwest Research Library.
