Notes: A picture of Louise Begay Werito, an Eastern Navajo woman, with the flock of sheep she maintained on and near Huerfano, New Mexico. The Weritos acquired most of their sheep from the trader at Carson Trading Company. Louise's husband Jim also worked for Mr. Carson, the trader, who got most of his sheep from southern Colorado.

This photo was loaned to the Center by Venaya J. Yazzie and her grandmother Jane Werito Yazzie for digitization in February, 2007.
